People who watched the first show at 6 a.m. gave their feedback to those waiting outside, further fuelling the frenzy. In Tirupati, the film was screened in 13 theatres while a total of 80 cinema halls hosted it across Chittoor district. “The feedback we are getting from across the State – where we released the film in over 300 screens — is extremely positive. Tamil Nadu Theatres Owners Association sources said, financial issues between distributors and producers led to the delay in the release. It’s all set to create history with the film industry earning ₹230-240 crore over the weekend,” Mumbai-based exhibitor Akshay Rathi said.
