Lito Atienza said his group is eyeing the immediate repeal of the “Doble Plaka” law in the upcoming 18th Congress, calling that particular piece of legislation a “flawed” one. President Rodrigo Duterte has already ordered the Land Transportation Office (LTO) to suspend the implementation of the highly controversial law due to rider safety concerns. BUHAY vigorously opposed the passage of the law, but the outgoing Congress approved it anyway. BUHAY is among the party-list groups assured of seats in the next Congress.
