BT fined £42 million by Ofcom


Good morning: Ofcom has hit BT with a £42 million fine for what it describes as “a serious breach of its rules”. Vodafone claimed at the time that BT was using loopholes to mask its failings and avoid penalties. Excuses included failing to connect a line because an engineer had forgotten his boots and could not cross a muddy field.
