The telecoms giant BT has announced plans to accelerate its expansion of full-fibre broadband as it posts annual results. The plan could create up to 7,000 jobs, BT claimed. The actual results show that profits slipped to £1.8 billion in the year to the end of March. Revenue over the period slipped to £21.3 billion, down from £22.9 billion.
