BSTI finds anomalies in measurement at refuelling stations in Dhaka


Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution or BSTI conducted sudden drives on different refuelling stations in the capital on Monday. Trust Filling Station had been renowned for accurate measurement. Rezaul Haque, the Dhaka divisional inspector at BSTI’s Metrology Department, said they found the deviations acceptable at four units of Sohrab Filling Station and five of Khaleque Filling Station at Kalyanpur. Two units of City Filling Station at Saat Rasta in Tejgaon were found to be selling fuel oil with acceptable anomalies. The BSTI was initiating cases against the two stations at the Chief Metropolitan Magistrates Court of Dhaka for the anomalies in amount of fuel oil, he added.
