The advert described the group as 'BRIT Winners' and went on to list them as 'Best British Group' and 'British Album Of The Year' – gongs the band did in fact go on to bag. Sharing a clip of the advert, he went on: "Here be the evidence. Hours later, when The 1975 won both awards, they were in complete shock. Seemingly unaware of the advert, they went on to give an impassioned speech about misogyny in the music industry. Mirror Online has contacted the BRIT Awards and The 1975 for comment.
