Ramadan follows the Islamic lunar calendar, with months lasting either 29 or 30 days, and the start and end are determined by when the moon is sighted. In Nigeria, Muslims are waiting for confirmation from the Sultan of Sokoto before they begin fasting, as they haven’t seen the moon yet.
