Six persons have died as a result of protests that took place in Kitengela, Kajiado and Mlolongo In Machakos county. In Kitengela town, three individuals were shot and killed, while one victim was wounded in Emali.In Mlolongo, two people died. As a result of anti-government demonstrators blocking the Nairobi Expressway in Mlolongo; Machakos county, traffic on the Mombasa Highway was paralyzed. The police were forced to use tear gas to disperse the demonstrators after they set fire to the roadway and blocked it with stones. Police in Kisumu attempted to disperse the demonstrators by using tear gas, but they resisted.
