Railway Minister Nurul Islam Sujan was present at the contract signing ceremony held at Rail Bhaban on Monday, where he said Bangladesh Railway is going to buy luggage vans after 40 years later. Of the 125 luggage vans, 75 are for metre gauge track and 50 for broad gauge line. According to the contract paper, the China National Technical Import and Export Corporation-Railtecho-GNC JV will provide the luggage vans some time between the next 20 to 27 months. The railway minister said: “Farmers can send their agro product to their customers easily using the luggage van.”
