The fourth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League Twenty20 is set to kick off on November 4, 2016. The BPL’s governing council of the Bangladesh Cricket Board has decided to hold the player draft of the event on September 30, 2016. Khulna and Rajshahi have returned as franchises to join Comilla Victorians, Barisal Bulls, Rangpur Riders, Dhaka Dynamites and Chittagong Vikings. Sylhet Super Stars meanwhile, will not be a part of the BPL fourth edition after their contract was terminated for breaching the franchise agreement terms and conditions. Gemcon Group and Mango Entertainment have specifically expressed interest in owning the Khulna and Rajshahi franchises respectively.
