MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Customs on Wednesday issued its protocol on the proper handling of apprehended drugs. He ordered all the suspicious dangerous drugs and CPECs to be reported to the Customs Anti-Illegal Drugs Task Force for proper coordination with PDEA. Lapeña said the apprehending officer must follow the law stated in Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. He said ignorance of the law excuses no one and urged the BOC employees to follow the law and the protocol. The BOC chief stressed that PDEA is now the leading anti-drug law enforcement agency in drug operations.
