"We will be going with a large delegation and submitting a written proposal to the Election Commission. He said a fair election under this government was unlikely, but if the EC could discharge its duties independently and without any bias, an 'acceptable' election was possible. "How a fair election is possible without dissolving parliament," he posed the question. He said it is a public perception that a fair election is impossible with the deployment of the army. The BNP will be sitting with the EC on Oct 15 followed by the ruling Awami League on Oct 18.
