The BNP has no clue at the moment about when its chairperson Khaleda Zia will be coming back home from London. Several central leaders of the party on Friday also told the Dhaka Tribune that they have no idea about her homecoming schedule. Khaleda, whose party also leads the 20-party alliance, went to the United Kingdom on July 15 for a medical check-up, mostly to receive treatment for her eyes and knees, with an unspecified return time, BNP leaders said. The BNP chief’s press wing official Sairul Kabir Khan said Khaleda may return mid-October, but that is not yet finalised. Since she went to London, Khaleda has attended several meetings with political leaders, international political parties and also leaders of India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, according to party insiders.
