Moyeen, a BNP Standing Committee member, blamed the ruling Awami League for the attack, which occurred in the district’s Panchdona Bazar area around 12:30pm on Sunday. Some BNP leaders and activists who were present at the scene with Moyeen were injured but Khan was unhurt. Moyeen Khan is running in the Dec 30 election as the paddy-sheaf candidate from the Narsingdi-2 constituency. Bahauddin Bhuiyan, an aide to Moyeen, alleged that the supporters of Awami League carried out the attacks amid a peaceful campaign event. Then the leaders and activists of Awami League, Jubo League and Chhatra League carried out the attack.
