Milon, also the former Chandpur 1 member of parliament, was sent to jail by the Senior Judicial Magistrate Shafiul Alam after he was produced at the court on Friday afternoon. Milon was shown arrested in a murder case, attempted murder, and an extortion case. Earlier, Milon was arrested in Chittagong’s Chawkbazar area at a relative’s, Shah Alam’s, home. A joint team of Chittagong and Chandpur police conducted a drive at an apartment of Chatteswari area, under Chawkbazar police station, and arrested the BNP leader around 2:30am. The BNP leader is a warranted suspect in 17 cases and he has remained absconding for the last five years.
