Assistant Commissioner of police (Ramna Zone) SM Shamim said: “Khokon was shown arrested in a case filed on Tuesday over charges of vandalism and assault on police.”Additional commissioner of police (Ramna Zone) HM Azimul Haque confirmed the arrest of Hafiz. Shahbagh police station Sub Inspector (SI) Matiur Rahman filed the case against 20 to 25 identified and 475 unidentified people, reports UNB. Two policemen were injured in a clash between a group of BNP leaders and activists and police while they were staging a demonstration in front of the High Court seeking party chief Khaleda Zia’s release on Tuesday. A number of vehicles were also vandalized during the clash.
