BNP claims fresh conspiracy afoot to erase Zia’s legacy

Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the allegations while speaking at a press conference at BNP's Naya Paltan headquarters. He said: "The government is freshly conspiring against late president Ziaur Rahman out of sheer jealousy. After initiating a move to implement their blueprint of removing his grave from Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, now they're trying to take over the Zia Memorial Museum." The BNP leader also urged the government to step back from attempting to erase Zia's name from the museum and relocate his grave from the parliament area. "You will not be able to remove his (Zia's) name from the people's heart by using state power, police, BGB, RAB, and guns," Rizvi added.
