Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir told bdnews24.com on Saturday night that their leader would reach Dhaka in an Emirates Airlines flight at 5:30pm on the day. Earlier in the morning, the BNP secretary general said Khaleda would return 'this week'. Early last month, senior BNP leader Alamgir said that the party chief would return to the country in the second week of September. Last week courts in Dhaka and Comilla issued arrest warrants for Khaleda in three cases over corruption and arson attack. The BNP described the court orders as a ploy by the government to stop her from coming back.
