BNP candidate Khaiyam wins from Rajbari-1 unofficially

File PhotoDHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) candidate Ali Newaz Mahmud Khaiyam has been unofficially elected from the Rajbari-1 constituency in the 13th National Parliamentary Election, securing 1,54,541 votes. According to the unofficially announced results, his closest rival, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Md Nurul Islam, has received 1, 01,092 votes. In the same constituency, a total of 1, 57,525 'yes' votes were cast, while 87,225 voters cast 'no' votes. The information was disclosed during a formal briefing at the Referendum and Thirteenth National Parliamentary Election 2026 Results Collection and Presentation Center of the Election Commission, held at the Agargaon Election Building in the capital.
