BNP on Wednesday warned that any attempt to obstruct Thursday’s elections or create any disorder would face mass resistance from people, stressing that a firm stance by the Election Commission (EC) is crucial to ensure a peaceful polling environment. The BNP leader said the Election Commission should take strict measures to prevent any attempt to thwart the elections. “Those who do not want change may attempt to thwart the elections. That is why the Election Commission must take firm measures,” he said, replying to a question. During the meeting, BNP complained to the EC about violations of the electoral code in several places in the country.
