BN to tackle shortage of affordable housing, key issue in Selangor, if it regains state


State BN chairman Tan Sri Noh Omar said 75 per cent of the population in Selangor live in urban areas but there was insufficient number of affordable houses. “We (Selangor BN) promise affordable homes to help the people, especially youths, to own their dream houses and resolve all housing issues in the state,” he said in his speech at the Selangor BN manifesto launch here today. These projects were completed by the Federal government.”Besides that, he said 6,000 transit housing units would be built in Rawang to help youths. “PKNS, for example, has moved away from its fundamental objective of providing affordable homes for the people,” he said. “The Federal government has allocated RM1.9 billion for waste management done in line with the Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing Act 2007 (Act 672).
