Ishrat Jahan, a BJP member who filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the triple talaq , on Wednesday filed a complaint with the police alleging that her landlord and people in her locality had threatened her for attending a Hindu religious ceremony in West Bengal’s Howrah. Jahan alleged that her landlord in Howrah asked her to vacate her home. ANI quoted her as saying, “A huge crowd of people gathered outside my house and asked me why I went to attend Hanuman Chalisa event wearing hijab.”
