Later, a delegation, led by BJP district committee president Dinesh Sahu, met deputy commissioner (DC) Ravi Shankar Shukla and handed him a memorandum. Funtionaries of the BJP’s Burmamines unit had visited the community centre on Sunday after getting information about the vandalism. “We strongly believe that the supporters of Saryu Roy are behind all this. If one more party flag or plaque is destroyed, we will be compelled to hit the streets and agitate,” the BJP district president said. DC Shukla confirmed that a delegation of BJP workers had handed him a memorandum on the issue.“I will get the matter probed and initiate necessary action,” he said.
