BJP candidate Vijay Arya Bandhu celebrates the party’s victory at the UP Civic Elections in Mathura on Friday. In Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi, BJP candidate Mridula Jaiswal defeated her Congress rival Shalini by a comfortable margin of 78,843 votes. In Moradabad, BJP candidate Vinod Agarwal defeated Congress candidate Rizvan Qureishi by a margin of 22,635 votes. In Saharanpur, too, BJP candidate Madan Walia edged past his Bahujan Samaj Party rival Fazlurehman by a margin of 2,000 votes. Brijesh Agrihari, an independent, won Musafirkhana seat, while BJP candidate Chandra Devi won Amethi.
