Bangalore, Aug. 21: The BJP has kicked off a full-scale political battle against the ruling Congress in Karnataka over two FIRs filed against its state president B.S. BJP leaders said the FIRs were filed only three days after its national president Amit Shah called the state government the "most corrupt ever". A BJP delegation today met governor Vajubhai Vala and submitted a memorandum accusing the government of misusing the police to foist false charges on its leaders. Siddaramaiah had then said the cases against BJP leaders would be looked into "without any vendetta". The memorandum is signed by several top BJP leaders, including Union minister Ananth Kumar.
