BIR to undertake partial restoration of electronic services as tax deadline nears 0 SHARES Share it! Share TweetBy Jun RamirezThe Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) said Monday its electronic filing and payment services will be partly restored before the end of the week. Revenue officials made the assurance as thousands of taxpayers nationwide have been complaining about their inability to access the electronic filing and payment system (eFPS) and eBIRForms even as the April 15 deadline in the filing of 2018 income tax returns (ITR) nears. This method of filing and payment will continue until the automated filing and payment system is fully restored. Informed sources disclosed that the BIR computers system has been experiencing intermittent shutdown due to wear and tear as it was set up 20 years ago.
