Share TweetBy Ariel FernandezTwo minors were found to be involved in a human smuggling scheme when Bureau of Immigration (BI) personnel intercepted two women pretending to be nannies tried to fly abroad from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) earlier this month on different occasions. BI Port Operations Division Chief Grifton Medina said the scheme was uncovered when two women were intercepted separately at the NAIA Terminal 3 while accompanying minors going abroad, purportedly to visit the children’s parents. Both of them also admitted that they previously departed with different guardians but returned without any companion. According to the BI, those persons might have ended up working abroad without proper documentation.
