MANILA, Philippines — Agents from the Bureau of Immigration (BI) have arrested an overstaying Kuwaiti national in Guimaras island, the immigration agency said on Tuesday. BI chief intelligence officer Fortunato Manahan identified the foreign national as Ahmad Issac Alameri, 59. ADVERTISEMENTAccording to Manahan, Alameri has been overstaying in the country since July 2017 and is holding an expired Kuwaiti passport. Manahan said that Alameri was arrested last June 6 in Guimaras by members of the bureau’s intelligence operations unit in Region 6. BI Chief Jaime Morente then immediately ordered the deportation of Alameri following his arrest.
