BHEL shares gained 5.49% to settle at Rs151.90 on BSE. Led by the jump in the stock price, the company’s market valuation soared by Rs1,934.04 crore to Rs37,179.04 crore. On the volume front, 58.84 lakh shares of the company were traded on BSE and over 4 crore shares changed hands at NSE during the day. The company had reported a net loss of Rs1,084.96 crore for the quarter ended 31 December 2015. Total income increased to Rs6,461.22 crore for the quarter ended 31 December 2016, from Rs5,498.07 crore for the quarter ended 31 December 2015, BHEL said in a BSE filing.
