Naib Jahurul Islam filed the cases with Haripur police station, on behalf of 50 BGB Battalion, on Thursday night, confirmed Haripur police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Amiruzzaman. One of the cases accuse three people of smuggling cows and trespassing the border. In the other case, 19 people were named and 250 others were accused of: obstructing justice, seizing weapons with the intention of murdering BGB members, seizing official weapons, causing damage to the weapons, and other crimes. Meanwhile, Supreme Court lawyer Tapan Kumar Saha filed a writ petition seeking compensation for the families of those killed during Thursday’s altercation.
