TORONTO – The Reds revealed Wednesday they’ve locked up Spanish playmaker Victor Vazquez through 2020, leaving midfielder Jonathan Osorio as the only everyday contributor without a contract heading into next season. The deal provides Vazquez, 31, security in the middle of a three-year deal that included an option year after this season. “We want to make a concerted effort to keep this group together,” general manager Tim Bezbatchenko said. Toronto FC then hosts Club America for a Champions League semifinal (first leg) the following Wednesday (April 3). The Sun’s Kurt Larson appears in MLS’ mini-documentary on TFC knocking off Tigres in Champions League action.
