Unfortunately, Headley Court, the military rehabilitation centre on the Surrey Downs, weren’t as keen to keep me as I was to stay there. Clearly everyone at Headley Court thought I had peaked. In a way, Headley Court becoming icier towards me gave us more energy to fight for what I needed. We tried to call Headley Court to tell them the good news and ask them to arrange an ambulance to pick me up, but we couldn’t get through.
