There will be a new champion in the A division of the MUDECAS Girls Basketball Tournament. Third-seeded Bruning-Davenport-Shickley came from behind to beat second-seeded and defending champion Sterling 52-46 Thursday at the Beatrice City Auditorium. Sterling turned that into a double digit lead in the second quarter, leading 27-15 at the half. Thies opened the third quarter with a jumper to give Sterling their biggest lead at 29-15, but it would be all BDS after that. A three pointer by Macy Kamler and a put back basket by Sliva made it 29-25.
