Led by YSR Congress Party leader Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose, the BCs reached the Collector’s office at around noon after taking out a huge rally. Some of the protesters tried to break the police cordon and burn the effigy of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Addressing the protesters, Mr. Bose said that Mr. Naidu succumbed to the pressure tactics of the Kapus and their leader Mudragada Padmanabham. He said the BCs would take out an agitation if the government went ahead with providing reservation for the Kapus. Addressing the media, they claimed to have information that Justice Manjunatha was against reservation to Kapus.
