According to the victim’s family, a group of robbers raided Surman Ali’s house. Shahab ran to the spot and got into a fight with the robbers upon hearing his family members screaming. At one point, the robbers attacked him with a sharp weapon and shot him. They have been admitted to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital, said OC Ataur Rahman. Shahab’s family told the police that the robbers had looted some gold jewelry and mobile handsets, he said.
