BigstockThe accused was sent to jail following a court orderPolice arrested a local leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) in a case filed for stalking a college girl in Gournadi upazila, Barisal on Wednesday. The accused Ishan Islam alias Arif Miah is the member of the convening committee of Gournadi College BCL. Confirming the matter, Golam Sarwar, officer-in-charge of Gournadi police station, said the accused was sent to jail following a court order Wednesday afternoon. According to the case statement, the accused would harass the student of Barisal Hatem Ali Government College regularly. Next day, the girl filed a case accusing Arif and 3 unnamed people under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act with the Gournadi police station.
