BCI and BIDS sign MoU to promote industrial development in Bangladesh through research and advocacy. Photo : BSSDHAKA, Feb 8, 2026 (BSS) – The Bangladesh Chamber of Industries (BCI) and the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) titled "Research and Advocacy for Industrial Development in Bangladesh" to strengthen the country's manufacturing sector through data-driven insights. BIDS Director General Professor Dr. A. K. Enamul Haque and BCI President Anwar-ul Alam Chowdhury (Parvez) signed the document on behalf of their respective organizations. Under the MoU, both parties will collaborate on three primary areas: publishing a Quarterly State of Manufacturing Industry report, conducting research on the manufacturing sector, and performing policy advocacy. The signing ceremony was attended by BCI Senior Vice President Priti Chakraborty, BCI directors, BIDS research directors, and other senior officials from both organizations.
