The Beatrice Community Hospital Diabetes Self-Management Education Program has been awarded American Diabetes Association Recognition for another three years. Earning ADA recognition lets participants know that the BCH program has met national standards. The program teaches participants self-care skills that promote better management of their diabetes, thereby improving their overall health and preventing complications. BCH Diabetes Educators Sue Schouboe and Abby Newhouse encourage anyone with diabetes to visit with their primary care provider about taking part in the program.
