The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) headquarters in Mumbai has been forced into a complete shutdown from Tuesday (March 17) due to the recent outbreak of the coronavirus across the country. “The BCCI employees were today notified that the headquarters at the Wankhede Stadium will be shut down in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic. All the staffers have been told to work from home,” a top official from the Board said. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday (March 13) decided to suspend the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 till April 15, 2020. The opening match of this year's IPL was supposed to be played between the most successful teams of IPL - defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) - at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on March 29.
