DHAKA, April 5, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) retained Liton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz as the captains for T20 and ODI format respectively. Mehidy Hasan Miraz will remain captain of the Bangladesh One Day International (ODI) team until the ICC ODI World Cup in South Africa in 2027. Two key digital initiatives- BCB Player Data App and BCB Cloud Server App- were officially launched during the meeting. The BCB Player Data App is designed to provide comprehensive statistical data on all active domestic cricketers for relevant personnel. In addition, the board has decided to reintroduce the BCB Annual Awards Programme to recognise outstanding performance and contribution within Bangladesh cricket including cricket journalism.
