President Uhuru Kenyatta speaks during the inspection of the ongoing expansion of the 84km Kenol-Sagana-Marua highway. [PSCU, Standard]President Uhuru Kenyatta yesterday regretted the scuttling of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) saying it would have been the national panacea to the skewed distribution of national resources to counties and constituencies. He also pleaded with Mt Kenya residents to back Raila Odinga whom he described as a "honest statesman." President Uhuru then proceeded to Nyeri County where he commissioned the Mwai Kibaki Hospital which is a Level Six facility under Kenyatta National Referral Hospital. Speaking in Nyeri to residents he said the facility was a completion of former President Mwai Kibaki's legacy for the region.
