According to the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC), most COVID-19 test results are available within 24-48 hours and adults can receive results online, via text message, or by calling the centre's COVID-19 negative results hotline. But the Burnaby, B.C., mother-of-two did not get her son Canyon's results for approximately 96 hours. Zeineddin said she and her daughter, age 10, recently got tested for COVID-19 and were able to get their results in 48 hours — but because Zeineddin is a physician, she could retrieve her daughter's test results herself. In fact, they'll have to wait for me to get the results and then are we now supposed to call all our patients with negative results?"
