B.C. announces 115 new COVID-19 cases, no new deaths


health officials announced 115 new cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths on Wednesday. In a written statement, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and Stephen Brown, B.C. 's deputy health minister, said there are 1,387 active cases of the disease in B.C., down three from Tuesday and up 103 from a week ago. Hospitalizations, which typically lag behind spikes and dips in new cases, are down by one from last Wednesday, when 72 people were in hospital. Public health is actively monitoring 3,042 people across the province who are in self-isolation due to COVID-19 exposure.
