Azul and Airbus announced an additional order for four A330-900neo, within an agreement that had been signed in June. With the new order, the Brazilian airline will have a total of 12 widebodies in its fleet, five of which are currently in service. The expansion of orders for the A330-900 variant, which is configured with 298 seats in two classes, reinforces rumors that the two A350-900s incorporated just over a year ago will soon be deactivated. With its 334 seats, the A350 took on high-demand flights to Paris and Orlando, but its operating cost would be very high. Azul has no longer scheduled flights with the aircraft from the end of January 2024.
