PUTRAJAYA: Two suspects held over illegal sand-mining activities in Selangor have been released from Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) custody. One of the suspects is the 34-year-old nephew of Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Azmin Ali, while the other is a company director, 67. Magistrate Aida Khairuleen Azli allowed both of them to be released on RM100,000 bail with one surety each. They were arrested on Nov 29, together with two others — a 41-year-old company director and a 45-year-old site manager. The remand for all four expired on Wednesday (Dec 6), but the court allowed an extension for Azmin's nephew and the 67-year-old.
