Azmin: Jeers at Felda Rompin weren't aimed at me - Nation

KUALA LUMPUR: Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Azmin Ali has denied that he was jeered when he attended a Felda event in Rompin, Pahang on Sunday (July 7). Azmin said that there was some disturbance during a speech he gave at the event, but stressed that the jeers were not aimed at him. Videos of Azmin giving his speech at the event have gone viral, with some claiming that he was being booed by the crowd attending the Felda Settlers' Day 2019 celebration in Rompin. In fact, before the Prime Minister went to Pahang, I received a letter from the state Mentri Besar to discuss some infrastructure projects. Meanwhile, Azmin said it was crucial for the Government to step up its efforts to convince Felda settlers to have their lands merged, to become larger, combined estates.
