Household, commercial, captive power, industrial and CNG consumers in the aforementioned areas will out of gas from 2pm to 6pm, a press release from Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd (TGTDCL) said on Monday. According to TGTDCL, the tie-in installation is mandatory to connect the existing pipeline with the new one installed at Azimpur’s Natun Paltan Lane, for addressing low gas supply in and around the areas. Gas outages and low pressure are two major problems Dhaka dwellers face often, with the crisis worsening every winter. Consumers also face problems due to the installation and replacement of gas pipelines on a regular basis, mainly because of the slack coordination between utility agencies and development projects.
