The Azimio la Umoja coalition has postponed its anti-government rally that was set to be held on Monday at the Gusii Stadium. According to Kisii County ODM Chairman Kerosi Ondieki, the planned rally has been moved to Friday, February 17, to allow proper consultation and planning. He said Kisii Governor Simba Arati has been tasked to lead the arrangement ahead of the mega rally. The developments follow protests from a section of Kisii leaders allied to the Kenya Kwanza who told off Azimio heads they were not welcomed in the county. The former governor, instead, urged Kisii leaders to shun politicians he said are hell-bent on painting the community as rebellious against President Ruto.
