The coalition’s sentiments come after the US Justice Dept welcomed President William Ruto’s move to appeal the verdict on the deployment of security forces to Haiti. The Narc Kenya party leader urged all parties to respect the independence of the judiciary. “It is our hope that all parties shall respect the Independence of the Judiciary and that foreign Interest will keep off our national affairs,” Karua added. Kenya’s security interventions aim to complement the efforts of understaffed and under-resourced Haiti national police force to counter gang violence in the Caribbean nation.
