Azimio senators are now threatening to kickstart the impeachment process of speaker Amason Kingi after he failed to effect the removal of Fatuma Dullo as Minority Whip. While addressing the press shortly after storming out of the chamber Thursday afternoon, the minority senators accused Kingi of playing partisan politics and "raping" the Constitution and the Standing Orders. "Next week we are going to move a Motion to remove Speaker Kingi," Mombasa Senator Mohammed Faki said. Azimio on Wednesday effected changes to the minority leadership of the House, kicked out Dullo as the Minority Whip and elevated Olekina to the position. Dullo became the first victim of the purge by Azimio leadership against members who visited State House last week.
